We’ve published a new GOV.UK transition guide for agencies and arm’s length bodies (AALBs), which describes the stages of transition, the main activities that are done at each point and the support Government Digital Service offers.
The guide is the culmination of the work we have been doing with government organisations over the last few months to transition their old website content onto GOV.UK.
We’ve been agile during that time, changing or iterating our methods and processes to ensure the best possible outcomes. Organisations that are moving to GOV.UK should use the guide as an introduction to transition.
A very big thanks to the AALBs that have been helping us on this journey so far and to Antony Hopker (Education Funding Agency) and Andrew Wiles (Department for Transport) for their support in writing the guide.
We’ll be updating the guide as we evolve GOV.UK and our transition project to accommodate the increasing number of specialist users and agencies using the website for government information.
As ever, we welcome your comments and suggestions for improvement.
